Celebrating diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in tech

The Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) Awards celebrates the outstanding achievements of Cornell Bowers CIS faculty, staff, students, alumni, community leaders, and corporate partners who have positively impacted the field of technology through diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.

The inaugural DEIB Awards will be held May 2022 in Ithaca, N.Y.

Belonging Awards:

Pays tribute to organizations and individuals who have made a significant impact in fostering a sense of belonging in the workplace, virtual space, classroom, and community.

Diversity Awards:

Acknowledges the relentless commitment of organizations and individuals to broaden the participation, retention, and success of marginalized populations within the workplace and educational institutions.

Equity Awards:

Honors organizations and individuals on their efforts to dismantle  policies and procedures that results in the inequitable treatment of employees, students, clients, and constituents.

Inclusion Awards:

Recognizes the achievements of organizations and individuals who have incorporated best practices into the establishment of an inclusive environment that respects difference and celebrates solidarity.
